We envision this as a survival guide. Everything you need to know....A work in progress...
We began with an interrogation of the terms of reference relevant to the course: Hispanic, Latino/a, Latinx. Then, we interrogated the framing of this grouping as a population in the United States, exploring the historical and social formation of Latin communities in the United States. In our course, we explored current predominant themes in research with and about Latinx populations in the United States as well as a meta-analytical conversation about the ethics and considerations of such inquiries. Students completes an original interdisciplinary resource guide on a topic of relevance to the field of study. |
